Deckard erstellte das Thema Guns in empty holsters - using Rings? [Solved]
Ran into another issue that I only partially solved.
From back in the day I remembered that there was a mod that was putting a gun in those empty holsters. After looking around I was indeed able to find that very mod over at "8 Eyed Baby". While there are some glitches during some movements it works as advertised.
I then discovered some brilliant "western/cowboy" mods by Beowulf71 and among them are some very nice looking guns. I installed those mods the usual way and they do show up nicely and are usable. But according to the creator those guns are made in a way to utilize the costume "rings" setting to show up in the holsters, but I was unable to get this to work.
I am sure I am doing something wrong but alas was not able to solve this mystery. Any of you guys have some experience with this?
Thanks!

Was able to solve this mystery and got it working.
The problem was that all the "acc_m_ring_v**.msh" and "acc_f_ring_v**.msh" files that came with Beowulf71's mod had a too high number assigned to them - that is why they did not show up in game (just like is the case with textures that are not numbered consecutively).
After checking with "Movies Editor" how many "rings" were standard with the game (and checking if there was already any additional rings in any of the mods I installed), I reduced the number accordingly, starting with "acc_m_ring_v03.msh". After doing that everything did work, with all the new guns were showing up in the "holstered position" correctly.
So is something does not show up in game always check and make sure the meshes/textures and the likes are using consecutive numbers. Hope that helps anyone running into the same issue!
