When Green Peppers Bite Back

Just finished new hand drawn animation and am uploading it to YouTube ... the link will be available soon. It's called "Attack of the Killer Green Pepper." It's a 7-minute color cartoon.

It's Alien meets Attack of the Killer Tomatoes. Well sort of, in a way, and yes and no. None of the music I posted here was used in this movie. I hope to keep it this way for a while, let you guys get a few good shots in first.

Btw, the 7-minute short did not need a musical score, just sound effects and incidental music, which means thin, unremarkable and yet suitable.

PLOT: A crew of four transport vegetables from one planet to another with deadly results.

WARNING SPOILER:

I'm sure many of you will wonder why I didn't do a "Chestburster Scene." Well, I did, there was one, but the work and effort was ruined by my lack of expertise with Anime Studio 6 Debut. Then I thought, "So many have been done it's a cliche." So I decided, instead of re-doing the scene, just go for something different, and explosive, warped, ending, one I call The Elephant Man Ending. The remains of the original Critter (sans background) did make it into the film. Without it the movie would have been called something much longer, "In space No One Should Have To See You Eat Your Greens." I am glad I chose the shorter, snappier, more memorable title. And I hope the Mean Green Pepper gives you nightmares.

I used a set from The Movies Game in the animation I created using Anime Studio 6. It is merely an intersection of a corridor. I forget which specific corridor. The characters stand in this corridor and the main action takes place there. The only way to get an outside source to work in the program is to copy a JPG or PNG or what filetype it supports into the Images folder, restart the program and you will see the new images listed in the menus. Thus you have cool backgrounds for your Anime projects. I tried creating my own corridor and I basically suck at it. I don't know why I can't accomplish it. My hand-drawn sets look like Barbie and Ken's Playtime House.

Btw, the same persons whose handles are associated with the "Memories of Music" album are listed in the end credits of this animated short. I used some of their sound effects. Again I listed them all to be certain the individuals whose effects I did use get credit for their work.

I don't want to keep starting new topics. then it seems like I'm trying to take over the board. Look for my new 4 minute cartoon on YouTube, called, "Show Me Your Friends." The saying is the first part of a sentence, "Show me your friends and I will show you what you are." Or rather, "I will know what (or who) you are." In the case of my cartoon I take this saying to extremes. I hope it is enjoyable. I won't say anything more about the short, it would spoil the surprise.
