Need help with a costum model

You have to use the mesh-manipulator to add bones to the mesh. Just open an other costume mesh from The Movies and copy the bones from this costume to your own costume.

How to make them useable?

You have to enter the name of your modded prop in an .ini file. Just take a look at this useable prop

In the folder 'props' you find a file namend 'cigarette.ini'.
I made the new cigarettes-props useable by typing 'p_cirarettebraun' and 'p_ciraretteweis' into this file. If you want an useable gun just enter the name of your gunprop into the .ini-file called 'guns.ini' and so on.

ok...I don't see the guns.ini file, do i need to unpack it or something?

Yes, you need to unpack the .ini-files first.

You can use the PAK-Poker to extract the required files.

Ok, i unpacked it and now the game will let me pick the pistol, but the mesh doesn't show. Is there something I need to do in MED or on the file irself?

I copies everything the other pistols have, and i have it listed as p_pistol_10mm for the mesh and the ini file, do I need to rename the texture as well?

Perhaps the pistol is too large or to small? Import an existing pistol into your 3d programm and compare it with the size of your pistol. Do you use Blender or 3ds max?

I use 3ds max, and I sized it to the colt pistol, I'm using the 10mm pistol and its a bit akward to size, but it shows up as a normal prop, but when I use it for a gun...I'll try resizing it again, see if that'll do it.

Ok...i give up, I have no idea what I'm doing -.- if its not too much to ask, is it possable for a tutoral on how to add prop guns? Cause I'm compleatly confused now

Perhaps I can see what you're doing wrong and can explain what you have to do to add the pistol to the game.

Well, the project has been scrapped, the Movies won't run, uninstall or even reinstall so the whole thing has been for nothing. Don't even bother working on the cosutms now, they won't be of any use to me now
